The city Hann. Münden

Situated in the heart of the woody mountains of the Kaufunger-, Bram- and Reinhardswald, where the rivers Werra and Fulda meet and form the Weser, you can find the city Hann. Münden. The city at the southern end of the Weser Hills is especially known for its numerous half-timbered houses, which characterise the cityscape and lend the medieval flair to the place. More than 700 half-timbered houses erected throughout six centuries as well as defence towers and remains of the fortification wall are the prove of civic pride and wealth of the past times. The city looks back on a long and interesting history in terms of shipping, trade, and crafts.
